How You Fit In

We are seeking a strategic, operationally strong, and business-minded leader to join our team as Director of People Operations. This role will lead and scale People Operations programs, systems, and processes while partnering closely with leadership to support organizational effectiveness, performance accountability, and employee experience across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building scalable infrastructure in a fast-paced environment and who can balance strategy with hands-on execution. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating ambiguity, partnering with leaders through complex employee matters, and improving operational processes that help the business scale effectively.

What You’ll Do

People Operations & Organizational Effectiveness

Lead and optimize People Operations processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compensation processes, and offboarding.
Build scalable HR systems, SOPs, workflows, and operational infrastructure that improve efficiency and employee experience.
Partner with leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, talent strategy, and manager effectiveness.
Drive process consistency, accountability, and operational excellence across People Operations programs.
Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and cross-functional alignment.

Employee Relations & Performance Management

Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and leadership on employee relations matters, coaching, investigations, and performance concerns.
Lead and support performance management initiatives, including feedback cycles, corrective action, and performance improvement processes.
Partner with leadership and legal counsel to ensure compliant, fair, and defensible employment practices.
Support sensitive employee situations with professionalism, discretion, and strong business judgment.

Compensation, Compliance & Programs

Support compensation planning processes, variable compensation administration, promotions, and organizational alignment initiatives.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR operational requirements.
Support internal audits, policy management, HR documentation, and employment-related compliance initiatives.
Partner with Finance and leadership on headcount planning and compensation governance.
Oversee HR systems administration and maintain data accuracy across HR platforms and processes.

Leadership Partnership

Coach managers on leadership effectiveness, accountability, communication, and team management.
Partner cross-functionally with Recruiting, Finance, IT, and business leaders to improve operational alignment and execution.
Help shape scalable People programs that support employee engagement, leadership alignment, and organizational growth.

How You Succeed

Supporting cross-functional initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness and business operations.

Skills And Qualifications

7+ years of progressive HR or People Operations experience, including leadership or strategic business partnership experience.
Experience supporting fast-paced, scaling organizations, preferably within SaaS, technology, or high-growth environments.
Strong employee relations, performance management, and manager coaching experience.
Experience building and improving HR operational processes, systems, and documentation.
Strong understanding of employment law, HR compliance, and operational risk management.
Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to balance empathy, accountability, and practical business judgment.
Comfortable operating both strategically and tactically in a growing organization.
Experience with HRIS, ATS, performance management systems, and People analytics preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.

Location

This is a remote role with occasional travel for leadership meetings, team collaboration, and company events.
