About the opportunity:
We are looking for a Director of North America Talent Acquisition to lead and scale our NA recruiting function during a period of growth. This is a player-coach leadership role for a builder who can develop a high-performing team while remaining hands-on with critical searches and driving improvements across our talent acquisition strategy.
Role Overview
The Director of North America Talent Acquisition will lead a team of three recruiters while personally owning complex hiring initiatives, particularly across senior technical, engineering, AI, data, cloud, and leadership roles.
This role is designed for a hands-on TA leader who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys solving challenging hiring problems, and can balance team leadership with execution. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, data-driven, and passionate about using technology and AI to improve recruiting effectiveness.
They will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, strengthen our recruiting capabilities, and ensure Egen continues to attract top talent in competitive markets.
What You'll Do:
This is a player-coach leadership role requiring a balance of team leadership, hands-on recruiting execution, and TA strategy. The ideal candidate is a builder — someone who is entrepreneurial, scrappy, and energized by solving complex hiring challenges while developing a high-performing team. Maintain an active recruiting portfolio and personally own critical searches, particularly senior-level and difficult-to-fill roles across engineering, cloud, AI, data, and professional services
Lead complex searches from intake through close, including talent strategy, sourcing, candidate engagement, interview management, offer execution, and closing
Navigate challenging hiring environments, including competitive compensation markets, limited talent pools, geographic constraints, and evolving business requirements
Partner closely with hiring managers and executives to understand business needs, provide market intelligence, calibrate hiring profiles, and drive successful outcomes
Act as a trusted advisor who can challenge assumptions, influence decisions, and bring creative solutions to complex hiring challenges

Build credibility across the organization as a recruiting leader who combines strategic thinking with exceptional execution
What We're Looking For:
10+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including experience leading recruiting teams and in professional services organizations.
