About the Job

About Motivity

At Motivity, we're a mission-driven team of clinicians, researchers, and engineers dedicated to improving outcomes for individuals who receive data-driven services such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Our platform streamlines everything from clinical data collection to practice management.

The Opportunity

Motivity is looking for an HR Manager to own and run our people operations day to day. You will be the go-to person for employees and managers on payroll, benefits, hiring, onboarding, and HR compliance, and you will make sure the fundamentals happen accurately, on time, and with care that supports and builds upon our culture.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is just as comfortable processing a payroll change as they are running a review cycle. You will partner closely with leadership, and help keep the employee experience warm, consistent, and well documented.

What You'll Do

Own Payroll and Benefits

Prepare payroll and process changes (new hires, terminations, raises, bonuses, PTO) in JustWorks.
Enroll new hires in benefits, administer open enrollment, and answer employee questions about pay, benefits, and time off
Track PTO and keep payroll and benefits records accurate

HR Operations and Compliance

Maintain employee files, policies, and handbook. Keep records organized and audit-ready
Monitor state payroll and employment requirements and resolve filing issues, escalating as needed
Run the contractor classification intake and escalate decisions as needed
Triage the virtual mailbox and route mail appropriately.

Hiring

Own and manage our ATS, Greenhouse
Own the full hiring lifecycle supporting Hiring Managers and operate as a key part of the hiring process
Extend offers, send contracts, and manage pre-boarding

Onboarding and Offboarding

Run orientation and integration for new employees and contractors
Build and launch an expanded Orientation
Own and manage workflows related to both onboarding & offboarding including new hire check in process and exit interview procedures
Coordinate system access with IT at the start and end of employment

Talent Management & Compensation

Build and run performance reviews in Google and support the calibration process
Run engagement and integration surveys, then synthesize and share the results
Support compensation cycles and communicate decisions through clear channels

Culture and Engagement

Plan recognition (birthdays, anniversaries, Motivator of the Month) and culture events
Support MotivNation, our ERG, and the ongoing integration of our India Team
Partner with the Manager of Culture of our India Team; some overlap with the IST timezone will be necessary

What You'll Bring

8+ years in HR Operations or Generalist roles, ideally at a SaaS company
Hands-on payroll and benefits administration in a PEO or HRIS such as JustWorks, with awareness of multi-state compliance
Experience running a clean offer and onboarding process in an ATS (Greenhouse preferred)
Experience working in a remote or hybrid organization
Comfort running performance review, survey, and compensation cycles, and presenting the findings
Strong organization, attention to detail, and the discipline to document what you do
Sound judgment and discretion with confidential information
A service mindset with employees and managers

Bonus Points For

Exposure to or experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and or Organizational Behavior Management (OBM)
Exposure to international or contractor employment (India is a plus)
Experience supporting an acquisition or integration
Experience preparing HR records for an audit
