About the Job

Human Resources AdministratorHR Administration and Payroll Support (Part-Time Remote, United States)

Earn $30 an hour in a part-time, remote HR seat where you own onboarding, payroll support, and benefits for the team behind the world's leading personal development organization.

At Tony Robbins, Robbins Research International, we do not build products. We build experiences that move people. As the world's leading personal development and peak performance organization, our mission is to help people create lasting transformation in their lives, businesses, relationships, and health.

We are hiring a part-time HR Administrator to be the warm, reliable first point of contact for the team behind that mission. If you are driven by service, obsessed with getting the details right, and ready to make every team member feel cared for from day one, this is your moment.

We want to see someone who treats a payroll detail and a new hire's first day with the same level of care.

The Role

This is a true ownership seat. You will work shoulder to shoulder with IT, Finance, and leadership on a small, tight-knit team, and you will own HR administration end to end: onboarding, payroll support, benefits, employee transitions, and the questions in between. You will be the friendly, go-to resource for employees, welcoming new hires, answering questions about pay and benefits, and keeping our people cared for. The role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm Pacific, so our team always knows exactly when and where to find you; there is some flexibility on timing, but consistent daily coverage is the backbone of this seat.

Why This Role

At most companies, HR administration is back office work. At Tony Robbins, it is the front line of our culture. You are the first welcome a new hire receives, the steady hand behind every accurate paycheck, and the calm, caring answer when a team member needs help. Few part-time roles carry this much trust or this much impact.

What You Will Do

Own new hire onboarding from offer acceptance through day one: prepare and send offer letters and new hire paperwork through our HRIS, coordinate background checks and drug screenings, and keep candidates and leadership informed along the way.
Partner with IT so every new team member has their equipment and system access ready on day one, help coordinate new hire orientation, and send welcome kits that celebrate each arrival.
Guide new hires through benefits enrollment, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
Support payroll by pulling reports from our HRIS and CRM platforms, sharing them with leadership and department leaders, and partnering with employees and managers to keep timesheets accurate, approved, and submitted on time.
Assist with payroll adjustments such as mid-payroll ACH payments, prorated pay for new hires, and sick pay calculations for commissioned employees, and keep employee records current in the HRIS for pay changes, promotions, and status changes.
Be a helpful, approachable resource for employee questions about pay, benefits, time off, and policies, processing qualifying life events, supporting annual open enrollment, and preparing monthly benefit cost reports.
Help administer the 401(k) plan, including contribution changes, loan repayments, and new account setup, and review benefits carrier reports and resolve discrepancies so coverage stays accurate.
Support respectful, smooth employee transitions: exit communications and exit interviews, offboarding coordination with IT, final pay and vacation payouts, and COBRA continuation coverage.
Handle employment verification requests, unemployment and state disability claim forms, and HR-related vendor invoices with accuracy and timeliness.
Help administer our employee recognition and service award programs, support engagement initiatives, and maintain employee records and performance documentation with confidentiality, including year-end activities such as payroll and holiday calendars.

Required Qualifications

2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in HR administration, payroll, or a closely related role, with working knowledge of core HR processes, payroll requirements, and employee benefits administration. We care more about demonstrated skill than the exact number of years, but this is not an entry-level role.
Experience administering an HRIS or payroll platform, including keeping employee records current for pay changes, promotions, and status changes.
Hands-on payroll support experience: pulling payroll reports, keeping timesheets accurate and submitted on time, and processing adjustments such as prorated pay and sick pay calculations.
Employee benefits administration experience, including enrollment in medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k), qualifying life events, and annual open enrollment.
An understanding of applicable federal and state employment laws.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including sorting, filtering, lookups (VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP), and pivot tables, plus comfort with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace and video tools such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

Nice to Have

Experience with Rippling.
Familiarity with Salesforce and pulling reports.
Human resources education courses or an HR certificate.
Experience with benefits carrier and 401(k) administration portals.
Experience supporting a commissioned or sales-driven workforce.
Background in personal development, coaching, wellness, events, media, or subscription businesses.
Comfort in a high-ownership environment where you run your own queue and keep commitments without close oversight.

Who Thrives Here

We care about accuracy and warmth in equal measure. You are a warm, approachable communicator who makes employees feel heard and supported, with exceptional attention to detail, especially with payroll and benefits data, and discretion when handling confidential information. You are a self-directed, proactive problem solver who balances multiple priorities within a part-time schedule and follows through, and a collaborative team player who is eager to learn new systems and processes. If you love helping people and take pride in getting the details right, we would love to meet you.

Location and Schedule

Remote, work from home, for candidates based in the United States, with Pacific, Mountain, or Central time zones preferred; the role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm Pacific, 20 to 22 hours a week.

How to Apply

Apply through the application link in this post. The application takes about 7 minutes and asks focused questions about your HR administration and payroll experience, your attention to detail, and your daily availability. For example, one question will ask you to walk us through a time you caught a payroll or benefits error before it reached an employee. We personally review every submission, and if your application moves forward, you will hear from us within a few business days. Robbins Research International is an equal opportunity employer.
Every application is reviewed by our recruiting team, and you will hear back either way.
